A hopeful Christmas Appeal follow up

We shared the story of Tania and her three children as part of our latest Vinnies Christmas Appeal.

We recently heard back from Tania and wanted to let you know about the impact donors like you have had on her life.

Seeking support from the St Vincent de Paul Society three years ago after receiving a notice to vacate the rental property she was living in with her children, our members were able to lend a hand up with food, clothing and prescriptions needed to treat her daughters’ asthma.

Crucially, the advocacy of our members helped Tania gain a new home in community housing where her family could start to rebuild together.

Tania shared that through the support of Vinnies she now finds herself smiling and laughing with hope.

She was so happy to be able to share her story with others and has been touched by the many cards of support she received from complete strangers after her story became the focus of the Vinnies Christmas Appeal.

She still receives ongoing support from her local Vinnies Conference, who recently assisted her in purchasing a new fridge. It has made such a difference to their daily lives, allowing Tania to do batch cooking for her family.
