School initiatives and programs for student development and community support.
At St Vincent de Paul QLD we support schools by connecting your students’ learning with meaningful experiences. We run several events and school programs throughout the year that allow students to develop life skills, build connections, and give back to their community.
Through Vinnies Youth, our school initiatives help both primary and secondary school students to learn more about the social justice issues affecting their community. These student programs will empower your students to put their faith into action and take part in service-led learning opportunities.
The Ozanam Leadership Program is values and skills-based and encourages students to develop their own knowledge and skills that will add value to their community.
Primary school students and teachers meet to discuss and raise awareness of social justice issues, organising ways to help others in need.
We work closely with hundreds of schools and their communities who provide donations and funds to help those in need.
Get your school involved with a Vinnies Schools Program through one or more of our school engagements across Queensland.
“The students of Mt Maria really enjoyed the experience... it helped them to understand the meaning and value of community service.”
“The Vinnies Youth staff engaged with, and challenged, the boys successfully on the issue of people who are experiencing homelessness. Some of the boys were initially reticent, but after a short period of time, they were encouraged to participate meaningfully in the session.”
“Our Year 12 students were immersed in a Vinnies Street Retreat in Brisbane City. Vinnies Youth were incredibly knowledgable and interactive with our students.”
