Help Vinnies keep our shores pristine this Clean Up Australia Day

This weekend, Vinnies will be collaborating with Clean Up Australia Day to tidy up beaches near some of our key coastal shops.

Customers and friends are invited to register with Vinnies at one of the seaside beach clean up events. Anyone can join a Vinnies team to help clean up our shores, protecting our land and animals. Three Sydney stores plus one south coast store will be holding events, which are free to join.

In the lead up, some Vinnies stores are promoting Rewear & Recycle Week, drawing attention to the sustainable aspects of shopping second-hand. Elaborate window displays featuring dresses made of newspaper, and upcycled plastic bags from donation bins have been created by Vinnies staff and volunteers to show creative upcycling of waste products.

*Participants are encouraged to bring a hat and sunglasses for the events, and to use sunscreen while out in the sun. Clean up kits including garbage bags will be distributed to all participants on arrival at the site.
