Seagulls Prepare for Fred’s Place Sleepout

Seagulls staff members are supporting the fundraiser for Vinnies Fred’s Place in Tweed Heads on Friday 23 October.

For the past two years the Seagulls Club in Tweed Heads West has hosted a well-attended community sleepout to fundraise for Fred’s Place. As a local Vinnies service for people experiencing homelessness or personal hardship, Fred’s Place is known and loved by the Tweed Heads community. The Seagulls Club was happy to host again for 2020, however social distancing protocols of COVID-19 mean the 2020 sleepout will be a virtual event.

Participants will tune into the live-streamed event hosted by Deborah Knight from 9NEWS and 2GB from all 12 locations across the state on Friday 23 October.

It‘s easy to get involved, with participants sleeping out in their cars, backyards, couches or wherever they can bed down. All funds raised will be spent locally on Vinnies homeless services, and donations are tax deductible.
