The Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies and their subsidiary Janssen have been generously supporting The St Vincent de Paul Society for over 27 years. Janssen is a research-based pharmaceutical company employing more than 320 staff in Australia.

Philanthropic support to local communities has been at the heart of the J&J Family of company’s values long before anyone had heard of the term ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’.

Over 27 years ago, Janssen initially supported the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW through donations to the Vinnies Winter and Christmas appeals. Overtime a strategic partnership was established to address Janssen’s giving focal areas and align this with Services and support programs the Society was providing to the homeless, Families and Children experiencing poverty and disadvantage and Women escaping domestic violence.

Janssen confirmed a 3.5 year strategic partnership from 2017 – 2021 to support the V4You Program to expand across NSW. The V4You program (originally named Kids Engaged in Education Program (KEEP)) was developed by our crisis accommodation service, Vincentian House in Surry Hills in 2009. The V4You Program is a holistic, family-focused service model for meeting the needs of children and young people, using education as a key tool for engagement and overcoming disadvantage. V4You aims to improve the safety and well-being (health, education, social and developmental) outcomes of children and young people and strengthen families and communities to better support children and young people.

Thanks to Janssen we will be able to evolve the program as a framework and expand the program to operate in the following 7 regions of Support Services: Inner City, Port Macquarie, Coniston, Macarthur, Bowral, Deniliquin, and Armidale.

We look forward to working closely with Janssen over the next three years and could not continue to deliver these types of community support programs without the long term commitment Janssen has demonstrated over the last 27 years.
