Simply Energy and Vinnies partner to launch innovative energy offer to raise funds to support people in need

The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW and Simply Energy have teamed up to offer a great value energy plan that will raise funds to support Vinnies’ services to people in need.

The Simply Vinnies plan also happens to provide 100% carbon neutral energy.

“This is a great way for people to help Vinnies NSW and get a great deal on electricity prices at the same time,” St Vincent de Paul NSW CEO, Jack de Groot, said.

“For each subscriber to the Simply Vinnies plan, Simply Energy will contribute $3 a month to Vinnies.

“That doubles to $6 a month for someone who gets both gas and electricity on this plan.

“These much-needed funds will go towards providing people we assist with food, clothing, accommodation, and more.

“Our homelessness shelters, domestic violence refuges, and other services for people in need are always in demand,” Mr de Groot said.

“Our Simply Vinnies plan launches as one of our lowest-priced energy plans in NSW,” Simply Energy CEO, Shannon Hyde, said.

“Our financial contribution to Vinnies is not priced into the plan or absorbed by customers – this is Simply Energy’s way of broadening the range of community partnerships and support that are so important to us.

“This is a great deal not just for people who want cheaper electricity and gas offers, but also for people who want to help Vinnies and the good work it does.

“When I was young, my family and I were reliant on support from Vinnies, which helped to set me on the path for the successes I’ve achieved later in life,” Mr Hyde said.
