Tens of thousands of hopeful treasure hunters flooded Retail Shops throughout Queensland for the successful national-first launch of FinderFest.

This three-day event saw tens of thousands of treasure hunters searching through Vinnies Shops state-wide in the hopes of finding a “golden ticket” to win one of several celebrity-donated goods and thousands in bonus prizes, including designer goods.

Participating celebrities included former Bachelorette Angie Kent, four-time Olympian Cate Campbell and Aria-nominated musician Thelma Plum, to name a few.

This event saw our second highest sales week ever in Queensland, with around 60,000 shoppers spending nearly $1m to go towards our community support – a fantastic result!

Vinnies Queensland General Manager of Operations Drew Eide said the event was more than just a celebrity treasure hunt.

“Finderfest is a fun way to shoppers to score some unique celebrity and designer goods,” he said.

“But importantly, every sale goes directly to supporting people in our community struggling with rising costs of living and a state-wide housing crisis.”

Just as shoppers picked up their brand-new looks, Vinnies Queensland’s two biggest shops got a make over of their own.

FinderFest coincided the launch of the new-look “Feel Good Finds” Shops in Virginia and Toowoomba, which revitalised and modernised the Shops with a brand new style.
