Company Limited by Guarantee

As of the 6th of June 2023 St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra Goulburn has officially been registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG).

This is simply a change in our legal structure that will allow the Society to better respond to the increased complexity of regulations, risk, and strategic direction as the organisation continues to grow and expand the footprint of support provided in the region.

Please note: This change in legal structure will not impact the day-to-day activities of all Members, Volunteers and Employees of the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn.​​​​​​​

Being a Company Limited by Guarantee means that:

• Lucy Hohnen, our CEO, will now report to our Board for operational matters and Territory Council for spiritual and social justice matters.
• The new Board will comprise up to five members of the Territory Council as well as two appointed directors with specific skills to help the Board with its work.
• Our legal name is St Vincent de Paul Society (Canberra/Goulburn) Limited.
