Advocacy Reports and Submissions

The St. Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (the Society) welcomes the opportunity to make a submission as part of the Inquiry into unpaid work in the ACT. The Society in this submission seeks to share some of our insights on the impact of the many in our community who volunteer hours of unpaid service that form the backbone of the work we do to support those experiencing hardship in our community.

The Team, comprising Canberra Refugee Support (CRS), Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services (MARSS) and the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra Goulburn (the Society) welcome the opportunity to make a submission to the inquiry into raising children in the ACT by the Standing Committee on Health and Community Wellbeing.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (the Society) welcomes the opportunity to respond to the inquiry on cost-of-living pressures in the Australian Capital Territory. As an organisation that seeks to address social injustice within our communities, we find the work of the select committee on cost of living pressures in ACT a welcome step by the Legislative Assembly.

As an organisation, we seek to address social injustice within our community and have tailored our program delivery around empathy and compassion.
