Curious about how political parties plan to address poverty if elected?

Join us at the free Anti-Poverty Week Community Forum and have your questions answered by representatives from ACT Greens, ACT Labor, Canberra Liberals, and Independents for Canberra.

At this forum, representatives will outline how their parties, if elected, plan to tackle poverty in the ACT amidst the growing impacts of the cost-of-living crisis, the housing affordability crisis, and climate crisis.

The forum will be moderated to ensure a positive and constructive conversation. It will be open to the public and media, featuring a keynote address by Associate Professor Ben Phillips from the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods, who will discuss how poverty manifests in the ACT and what can be done to address it.

This community forum is co-hosted by ACT Council Of Social Service (ACTCOSS) and St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn.

 Date: Monday, 14th October 2024
Time: 11am - 1pm
Location: Denman Village Community Centre (Molonglo I & II).
Registration: Click here

This is a free event for all in the community.
