Quality donations provided to your local Vinnies can be given to people in need or sold to raise funds for Vinnies vital services in the local community.
How to donate
TIP: the most important thing to remember is to donate items that are clean and in working order
- Drop off into the centre during the opening hours of your local Vinnies.
- If provided, leave in the donation bins outside of opening hours.
- Any donations left on the side walk after hours often become unsalable due to exposure to the elements or pilfering.
What CAN you donate?
Vinnies is always in need of the following items:
- Men’s clothing
- Women’s clothing
- Children’s clothing
- Manchester
- Shoes
- Handbags
- Hats
- Accessories
- Children’s toys (complete)
- Board games (complete)
- Books
- DVDs
- Homewares
- Bric-a-brac
- Funky/Retro items
What CAN'T you donate?
Due to some state/territory laws and WHS restrictions we are unable to accept some items, including:
- Furniture
- Baby car seats, prams or cots
- Mattresses
- Electrical items
- Damaged or broken items

Proceeds of sales at Vinnies shops provide funds our programs and services and offers a place of support for people in need.
More ways to donate
You can drop off your goods for free at our two reuse facilities (Mitchell and Mugga Lane). When you donate your items to us, we're keeping things out of the landfill, giving them a new life, and raising funds to help the community at the same time!
Goodies Junction is operated by the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn to support our good works in the region.
