Prayer card 2022 version
Opening Prayers
Let us pause and become aware of the presence of God
In the name of the Father
And of the Son
And of the Holy Spirit
Amen.
Prayer of Acknowledgement
Holy Spirit,
We invoke your blessing on this country and on each of us as we gather. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present, and support emerging leaders. We respect the continued cultural and spiritual connection to the land and waters.
May Your Grace bless and honour our joining hands and hearts in healing one another and the land, so our lives may flow with harmony living with love and deep respect.
Amen.
Closing Prayers
As we bring our meeting to a close and prepare to move forward from this place, may we remember these words Jesus told us:
"I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you". We hold these words as a reminder of our Vincentian vocation and journey together towards holiness.
Let us pray...
We pray for all our companions with whom we have journeyed
R. God of love hear us
We pray for all conferences, especially those with whom we are twinned
R. God of love hear us
We pray that you inspire others to hear your call for compassionate service
R. God of love hear us
We pray that all faith communities be one as you and the Father are one
R. God of love hear us
We pray for all deceased members of our Vincentian family
R. God of love hear us
We pause to offer any personal intentions...
Lord, we ask you to hear all these prayers and those that dwell within our hearts as we pray:
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
Blessing...
May the blessing of Christ infuse in us a love without measure. May our actions, deliberations and decisions guide us in a revolution of tenderness modelling in our ministry inclusion, accompaniment and restoration with those we serve and those we walk with in service. And may we be blessed + Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Society sought the protection of Our Lady, so we have the confidence to pray...
Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women
and blessed in the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
