St Vincent de Paul Society supports schools and teachers to develop compassionate and empathetic, socially aware students. Because social justice is everyone’s responsibility and advocacy can happen at every level of society.
Our school programs and initiatives provide a clear link to curriculum alongside opportunities for supporting local communities by participating in the good works of the Society.
We provide engagement opportunities for students from Year 4 to Year 12, including classroom curriculum resources designed to support subjects already being taught.
Teachers can also develop a deeper understanding of Catholic Social Teachings, homelessness and other social injustices through our service-learning experience.
Mini Vinnies empowers primary school students to become advocates within their school and local community by putting their values into action.
Teachers and students meet regularly to learn about social justice issues, develop leadership skills and engage with the wider Vinnies community.
Mini Vinnies programs are available for primary school groups from grade 3 to 6.
Secondary School Conferences empower students to recognise, reflect and respond to causes of human injustice through advocacy and action in their local communities.
They meet regularly to explore ways of achieving a more just and compassionate society, develop leadership skills and engage with the wider St Vincent de Paul Society.
