The St Vincent de Paul Society QLD is a trusted place for families to turn to for help in times of need.
At St Vincent de Paul QLD, we provide several funded programs for children and families and offer in-home family support, centre-based counselling, and crisis support. Once referred to our Child and Family services, we are here to help you through the challenges of parenting and support your family to feel healthy and safe.
Some of our services accept self-referrals, while others can only receive referrals from the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services. Please choose from our services below to find out more.
We offer families practical assistance and counselling if you are in need, or if you feel a child is at risk. We can help you build protection for the child and make sure they are in the right environment to thrive and live safely at home.

Our Family Intervention Service is a primary intervention service that works with families whom are referred to us from Child Safety Services.
We help children who are experiencing significant difficulties and hardship.
We support children, young people, and their carers to manage life’s challenges.
Our Family Back on Track program offers supported, transitional accommodation for families with children who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.
By working together, we ensure we can provide the appropriate level of support to families, understanding that each family is different.
Our Family Intervention Service is a tertiary intervention service that works with families whom are referred to us from Child Safety Services. We work with both the family and the Department using a home-based intervention model that addresses any safety concerns.
Our qualified team work with families over 12 months and offer practical assistance and counselling. We provide advocacy support and can connect you with your community to improve your child and family’s wellbeing.
Locations: We operate this service in Bundaberg, Maryborough, Sunshine Coast/Gympie, Brisbane South, Gold Coast/Beenleigh, Ipswich, and Toowoomba.

Eligibility for Family Intervention Service is determined by Child Safety Services, as it is a service available to support clients of Child Safety Service Centres (CSSC).

The St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland is always there for families in need, and always will be.
Our Integrated Family Support Service is a secondary intervention service for families with children who live in the Greater Toowoomba area, attend Goodna State School or attend Goodna Special School.
We help children who are experiencing significant difficulties and hardship and work closely with the child’s local school, health, community, and government organisations to give them the best possible outcomes.
There is no cost for our Integrated Family Support services.

Through times of uncertainty and trouble the St Vincent de Paul Society will always be just a call away.
Our counselling services are free and available to families and children living in Logan and on the Gold Coast. We support children, young people, and their carers to manage life’s challenges.
All our counsellors are experienced in trauma-aware counselling and offer support for attachment/parenting techniques, bullying, domestic and family violence, grief, and trauma. We use a range of positive therapies including Art-Based Therapy, Play Therapy, and Theraplay.
This service is funded by the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services.
Locations: We operate this service in the Greater South East region from Logan City Council down to the border of Gold Coast/NSW, and the Greater Logan region.

The St Vincent de Paul Society QLD team is working together to strengthen communities and families.
Our Family Back on Track program offers supported, transitional accommodation for families with children who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. We have 28 units on the Gold Coast that provide independent, furnished, and affordable accommodation.
As a tenant, you can stay up to a maximum of 12 months and will receive support and group education from our family support workers along the way.
