Cape Country Accommodation is a Special Work of the St Vincent de Paul Society, offering a safe and comfortable place to live in the heart of the Wynyard community on the North West coast of Tasmania.
Established over twenty years ago, Cape Country Accommodation provides twelve independent homes in Cotton Street, Wynyard. The residences offer adults living with a disability a friendly environment where they can feel safe and enjoy the companionship of their fellow residents. Those living with a range of needs, many of whom work locally, find this village-like community a stable haven where they can gain the support from external agencies to enable them to live independently.
Reflecting on the sense of community at Cape Country Accommodation, it is noted that there is an extremely low turnover of residents; many of whom have established lasting friendships with their neighbours and community support staff.
