Repairs, Maintenance and Property Services

Property Care

At Amélie Housing, we aspire to keep our homes safe, clean and in good working order. If you are living in one of our properties, there are certain responsibilities you have as a tenant. This includes keeping the premises reasonably clean and taking responsibility for:

  • Carpet cleaning
  • Fumigation
  • General cleaning
  • Keeping grounds neat and lawns mowed (if applicable)
  • Rubbish removal

You also have a responsibility to:

  • Notify us of any damage to your premises as soon as practicable
  • Ensure the property is not intentionally or negligently damaged
  • Return the property to us in the same condition set out in the property condition report (excluding fair wear and tear), when your Tenancy Agreement comes to an end.

 

Reporting repairs

Please report any repairs and maintenance issues to us as soon as you can. This will ensure we are able to respond as quickly as possible.

Reporting a repair is easy. Simply call 1800 950 575 or fill out our Repairs and Maintenance Online Form (create) detailing your:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email
  • Phone Number
  • Repair Request (you may also like to attach a photo so our staff can see the problem).

Tradesperson Access

Once a request has been received, a tradesperson will require access to your property to complete the relevant work. With your consent, Amélie Housing will provide the relevant contractor with your details, so they can arrange a time with you to complete the repairs. You will need to be at home for them to do this.

Contractors should call to advise you of the timeframe for their visit. They should also show ID when they arrive at your property. If at any stage, you feel unsure about letting a contractor in, please call us on 1800 950 575 so we can verify that the contractor is authorised to be there.
